In this document, it will be explained how to setup Neptune.<\/p>\n

1- Login<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Go to\u00a0http:\/\/neptuneadmin.sambapos.com\/en\/signin<\/a><\/span><\/strong> website login with your SambaPOS license email address and password by selecting the Root User option.<\/p>\n

This process will take quite a long for the first time. You don’t need to worry. Once the process is completed you will be logged into the system also you will receive an email.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

2- Adding Branch<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Management Panel > Neptune > Branches > Add<\/strong><\/p>\n

Insert the Neptune User (Neptune Branch) CP License email address and the shortcut that you want to use for that branch and then click on Save button.<\/p>\n

You can add as many branches as you want to Neptune.<\/p>\n

This process might take a while.<\/p>\n

After completing adding branc process, the branches will be displayed as in the below image.<\/p>\n

3- Sync Agent Key<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Go to Neptune > Branches<\/strong> > Select the related branch > Click on the Branch link > Select and copy the whole line in the Sync Agent Key field.<\/p>\n

4- Installing Sync Agent Tool<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Go to\u00a0https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/download\/details.aspx?id=27693<\/a> address and download the Sync Agent Tool.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Complete the installation by getting help from https:\/\/www.sqlshack.com\/how-to-sync-azure-sql-databases-and-on-premises-databases-with-sql-data-sync\/<\/a> address under the Set up the SQL Azure Data Sync Agent<\/strong> title.<\/p>\n

In order to set these applications you are supposed to be an Autohrized User<\/strong> and that user must have a password.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When you were asked Windows User Name and Password<\/strong> insert as below<\/p>\n

Computer Name\\User Name<\/strong> and into the below line type the Windows Password.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After completing the setup, click on the Submit Agent Key<\/strong> buton.<\/p>\n

Agent Key:<\/strong> Get the Agent Key from 3rd Step.<\/p>\n

Login:<\/strong> metadata-server<\/p>\n

Password:<\/strong> Samba1234<\/p>\n

After inserting the requiered data as shown above click on Ok button.<\/p>\n

If the all process is successful the Register button <\/strong>will become active, click on that button.<\/p>\n

After clicking on Register button in the window insert the Server and Database information under the SambaPOS Database Settings Connection String and click on\u00a0Save<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n

5- Creating Database on SambaPOS<\/strong><\/h3>\n

You can continue to the process after making sure that your SambaPOS version is minimum 5.3.7.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Main Menu > Manage > Settings > Local Settings > Database > <\/strong>Click on Edit Connection<\/strong> button and create a brand new empty database.<\/p>\n

6- Neptune Settings<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Click on Sync Agent Tool > Register<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n

In the window insert the Server and Database <\/strong>information that is created in the previous step. and click on Save<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n

7- Complete Setup<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Complete Setup should be done only once for each branch after completing the local settings.<\/p>\n

After selecting the branch, click on Complete Setup<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n

8- Synchronization<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Synchronization process is for Synchronizing the data on the local and on the cloud.<\/p>\n

After that process all the product addings and updates will be transferred to the SambaPOS Database which exists on the local.<\/p>\n

After selecting the branch click on Sync<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n
